A.LFK reassessed: LFK innerspring with new relevance for modern mattress concepts

News

Modern mattress concepts are being developed under changing requirements. In addition to comfort and support, topics such as recyclability, airflow, dimensional stability, ergonomic movement and reduced material complexity are becoming increasingly important.

Against this background, AGRO is taking a renewed look at A.LFK, AGRO’s LFK innerspring.

A.LFK is not a new system. The LFK innerspring has been part of the AGRO portfolio for many years. Under today’s market conditions, however, different properties of the system are gaining relevance. As an open innerspring construction, A.LFK offers a distinct system logic for applications where flexibility, airflow, dimensional stability and clear material logic play an important role.

The system can be particularly interesting for concepts where reduced material complexity, an open innerspring structure, ergonomic movement through the hinge effect or high dimensional stability are in focus. This creates potential fields of application, for example in adjustable bed systems, healthcare, hospitality or sustainability-oriented mattress systems.

AGRO does not position A.LFK as a universal solution or a direct replacement for established systems. The decisive factor is always the specific product concept – and the question of which requirements are most important. Whether A.LFK can be used effectively depends on the application, comfort logic and processing setup.
