AGRO introduces SmartPocket GL Circular
The new version of the SmartPocket GL product family combines the Glueless construction with steel and pocketing nonwoven made from 100% recycled material. An independent third-party certificate verifies the recycled content directly for this product.
With SmartPocket GL Circular, AGRO expands the SmartPocket GL product family with a version based on a different material composition. Its construction is the same as SmartPocket GL: the pocket rows are joined by ultrasonic welding rather than adhesive.
In SmartPocket GL Circular, both the steel and the pocketing nonwoven are made from 100% recycled material. For mattress manufacturers, the product-specific documentation provides a concrete basis for presenting the recycled content of the innerspring transparently in their own sustainability communication. The independent, product-specific documentation provides a reliable basis for clearly communicating the innerspring’s recycled content in your own product communications – including in the context of EmpCo.
The Glueless construction allows the springs to be arranged more closely together, reducing the gaps between the pockets. This supports the dimensional and shape stability of the innerspring while maintaining the individual response of each spring. For mattress manufacturers, the increased shape stability can facilitate processing and open up additional design options. These include full-perimeter concepts that may eliminate side foam rails in suitable applications. Suitability must be assessed on a project-by-project basis.
SmartPocket GL remains available as the standard version, made with steel and PP nonwoven. Both versions are 180 mm high and available with 1–5 zones. For SmartPocket GL, this expands the previous offering from 1–3 zones to 1–5 zones. The zoning options give mattress manufacturers more ways to tailor the innerspring to their mattress designs.
